Fat Jewish Guy Interviews Paul Murad
So, Thursday I get an email from Bravo PR.
They tell me that Paul Murad wants to finally grant me an interview.
Of course I email them back and we set the time for Friday afternoon.
After a couple of failed conference calls, I am finally on the phone with Paul.
He seemed a little nervous at first which is surprising based on the fact that he is an author, real estate tycoon and reality show star.
We talked for a bit about his background.
He was born in Azerbaijan and moved to this country at the age of 16.
I had no idea what Aizerbaijon was, but apparently they are famous for their Caviar and Oil.
The country was also featured in James Bond’s, “the World is not Enough,” which is fitting because some say he is an international man of mystery.
I asked him if growing up in Azerbaijan was like in the movie Borat.
He claimed that it wasn’t and that it was a big city and all, but I don’t really believe him.
I feel like Azerbaijan is like a big village.
But, I have been known to be wrong.
He is also in a position that I have wanted to be in for a long time.
After his appearance on the show, “The Millionaire Matchmaker” Paul says that lots of Jewish women and their mother’s are emailing him to try to go on a date.
I wish that was happening to me.
When asked what he thought of Patti Stanger, he paused for a moment and told me that she does great work. Though he wished that she would have screened the girls a bit better, (the other guy on the show got set up with a hooker!) Paul feels that over all he had a great experience on the show.
He was set up to be on it through a friend of his that is also Jewish and he decided to give it a go.
Paul’s outlook on dating seems to be the same as his business skills.
He knows what he wants and will set out to get it.
In the episode in which he was featured, we got to see Paul go on a date with a hot blonde woman and at the end of day one he proposes.
Trust me she was HOT.

Anyway, while some people may not agree with proposing after the first date, Paul is more of an old world type person.
He knows what he wants then he goes for it.
Paul explained to me that when he moved to Las Vegas he said to himself that he would be in Realtor Magazine’s 30 under 30 for successful real estate people.
He made it.
Then he said that he wants to be in the 40 under 40 issue.
He made it.
Whats next for Paul?
50 under 50?
60 under 60?
The possibilities are endless.
My question is if 40 under 40 includes the 30 that are under 30?
If so then it’s really only 10.
